Terms and conditions

1. Applicability

These terms apply to all quotes, orders and agreements of BlueStork, trading under the name Huisschilders Den Haag.

2. Quotes

Quotes are valid for 30 days and are drawn up after an inspection of the work. A price we name without an inspection is an indication, not a quote.

3. What is and is not in the price

The quote states per item what we do: preparation, number of coats, the paint system and the number of items to be treated. Work that is not in it is not in the price.

4. Additional work

Work that is not in the quote we carry out only after your written agreement (a message by e-mail or WhatsApp is enough). If we come across hidden damage during the work — rotten wood behind a frame, penetrating damp, loose plasterwork — we stop on that item, show it to you and give a price for the repair.

5. Access and working conditions

We need access to the work on the agreed days, plus electricity and water. We carry out exterior painting only in suitable weather; rain, frost or humidity that is too high can shift the schedule. Such a shift gives no right to a discount or to compensation.

6. Your property

We cover floors, furniture and planting. We ask you to remove movable and fragile items from the room yourself before we start.

7. Handover and guarantee

At handover we walk through the work together. Snags we put right within two weeks. On the work carried out we give a two-year guarantee.

The guarantee does not cover:

• defects in a surface you asked us to keep while we advised replacing it;
• damage from damp, structural faults or work by third parties after handover;
• normal ageing of paint on heavily exposed parts, such as south-west elevations and bottom sills.

8. Payment

Payment within 14 days of the invoice date. For jobs above € 2,500 we work in instalments: a part at the start and the remainder at handover. The instalments are stated in the quote.

9. Liability

Our liability is limited to the invoice amount of the job concerned and to what our public liability insurance covers.

10. Complaints

If you have a complaint, let us know within 14 days of noticing it at projects@huisschildersdenhaag.nl. We come and look, and we put it right.

11. Governing law

Dutch law applies to our agreements.
