BlueStork is the controller for the processing described here. We have no data protection officer; please send any question to the address above.

What we process, and why

The contact form

When you fill in the contact form we process the details you enter yourself: your name, e-mail address, phone number, subject and message.

We use them only to answer your question and, if it leads to a job, to carry that job out. Legal basis: performance of a contract or steps taken before entering into one (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Your message reaches us as an e-mail. This website has no database and stores nothing on the site itself.

Protecting the form against abuse

To keep spam robots out we also process:

  • your IP address, purely to count how many messages are sent from one address. The count is deleted automatically after one hour at most and is not linked to your message;
  • a Cloudflare Turnstile check, which establishes that you are a person rather than an automated script.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the website and our mailbox usable (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Visiting the website

The site is delivered through Cloudflare. To serve the pages and protect the site against attacks, Cloudflare briefly processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no tracking whatsoever:

  • no Google Analytics, no statistics package, no visitor counter;
  • no Facebook pixel, no advertising tags, no Google Tag Manager;
  • no embedded videos, maps or other third-party content;
  • fonts are served from our own server, not from Google.

What may be set are strictly necessary Cloudflare security cookies (such as __cf_bm and cf_clearance) and a Turnstile cookie at the moment you submit the contact form. These serve security only and are exempt from the consent requirement (Article 11.7a(3) of the Dutch Telecommunications Act). That is why you see no cookie banner here.

If we ever do add analytics or advertising tags, a proper consent banner will appear — one you can refuse just as easily as accept — and this policy will be updated.

What this website does not do

There are no comments, no user accounts, no visitor login and no file uploads. Consequently there is no profile picture, no Gravatar and no password reset for visitors.

Photographs of work carried out

This website shows photographs of houses where we have worked. We publish no house numbers, no client names and no images in which people can be recognised. If you would rather not have a photograph of your house on the site, we will take it down at your request.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising. We do rely on the following providers, each covered by a data processing agreement:

Cloudflare is a US company. Processing takes place on European servers and is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Beyond this we disclose data only where the law requires it.

How long we keep your data

  • Correspondence: as long as needed to handle your enquiry and, for a job, for the duration of the work and its guarantee period.
  • Accounting records (invoices and related documents): seven years, as Dutch tax law requires.
  • IP address in the spam protection: one hour at most.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to object to processing, to have processing restricted, and to data portability.

Write to projects@huisschildersdenhaag.nl. We reply within four weeks. We may ask for further details to confirm the request comes from you.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens), www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

Security

The website is served over a secure connection (HTTPS) only. Because there is no database and messages are forwarded by e-mail, the site itself holds no collection of data that could leak.

Changes

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows when the text was last revised.
